Sridhar joined Hemson in 2021, after more than 13 years of professional experience in land use planning and urban design at the City of Markham. He specializes in spatial analysis, forecasting and policy planning and has extensive experience of municipal governance, municipal service delivery, and public policy in the areas of planning, housing, and economic development.
He is currently pursuing a ‘Master in Spatial Analysis’ at Ryerson University, Toronto, with a major in Spatial Technologies in Strategic Planning, and Remote Sensing & Spatial Data. In April 2021, through Ryerson University, he was selected as a winner (tie-winner) for the David Woodward Digital Map Award at the 48th Annual Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS) Map Design Competition. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad - India, majoring in Town Planning and Computer-Aided Design.
His family of four enjoy walking in trails, biking, and diverse culinary experiences. Leaving all extended family back in India, their only goal is to explore this new land, ‘Canada’, every summer. He has never seen snow until he arrived in Canada, and now finds mild winter enjoyable!
