The projects below highlight some of Hemson’s recent forecasting work:

• For the Province of Ontario and the cities of Toronto and Hamilton and the Regions of    the Greater Toronto Area, currently preparing 30 year forecasts of population,    households, and employment for the Greater Golden Horseshoe area.

• As part of ongoing work for Simcoe County, prepared population, household and    employment forecasts. These forecasts are used in the County’s Official Plan and    provided the foundation upon which to prepare a long term growth strategy.

• Hemson prepared forecasts as input to the many of the over 25 Development    Charge background studies that the firm prepared in 2003/2004.

• Recently completed forecast for Haldimand County that will be used for a wide    range of strategic assignments such as the preparation of a new Official Plan,    development charges, an economic strategic plan, and the Caledonia master    servicing strategy.
